According to recent news reports three teenagers were playing with a Ouija board and became possessed. Their parents called a priest but he refused to do an exorcism because they were not members of the congregation so the kids were taken to a hospital. They were treated with anti-anxiety medicine and released. There are reports that they were thrashing around and at least one of them was growling. Really?
I have problems with this story on so many levels. First and foremost: no one should be playing with a Ouija board unless they know what they’re doing. It’s not a game, contrary to what some people believe.
Secondly, anti-anxiety medicine for possession? That’s a new one.
This situation, while sad, just begs the question: were they possessed? I can’t say for sure – I wasn’t there.
